Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect in my free Initial call?

This is just a phone or video call where you are able to get a feel for whether i'm right for you. You will be able to share a little bit about your hopes for counselling and I will share a little bit about how I work.

What can I expect in my first therapy session?

Sessions last 50 minutes, but there is no one set way a first session looks. Typically, your first session will be a safe space to share your story and discuss your current challenges. How you share your story and what we do with your story is up to you.

How do I book?

Simply fill out the contact form and i'll be in touch with you.

Is my information kept confidential?

Confidentiality is a fundamental aspect of my work. All personal information is kept strictly private, adhering to high professional ethical standards. Generally, everything we discuss in sessions stays between us. However, there are rare exceptions—such as if I believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm. I will always explain confidentiality in more detail when we start working together.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can be helpful for anyone who feels they need support, clarity, or space to process their thoughts and emotions. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure about something in your life, talking things through in therapy can help.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies from person to person. Some people find a few sessions helpful, while others prefer longer-term therapy. We can discuss what feels right for you as we go along.

How much do sessions cost?

Individual face to face therapy: £65 per session
Individual online therapy: £60 per session

If affordability is a concern, we can discuss options.

What if i decide that therapy isn't working for me?

That's completely okay! Therapy is a personal journey, and it's important that you feel comfortable with your therapist. If at any point you feel that therapy isn't meeting your needs, we can talk about what might be more helpful for you—whether that’s adjusting our approach or exploring other support options such as referring you elsewhere.

Are there toilet facilities available?

Currently there are no toilet facilities in the counselling room. However there is an Asda and a Costa Coffee just a two minute drive.
